Chef’s table workshop

Erez Komarovsky’s flagship workshop for the serious food enthusiasts. A versatile feast that is is sure to excite all of the senses.


This is your chance to discover the professional secrets behind the saucepans and hear the tips chefs usually keep to themselves. As part of the workshop participants will learn how to compose an astonishing meal consisting of meat, fish, seafood, pastries, vegetables, cheese, olive oils, spices and other fine ingredients.

The workshop begins on Erez’s balcony in Matat, overlooking a magnificent panorama to the upper galilee mountains, where a light breakfast awaits; freshly baked rustic bread, seasonal salads and refreshing wine.

Breakfast is followed by a tour of Erez’s organic farm, vegetable patches and herb garden as participants experience the outstanding flavours of seasonal vegetables eaten straight from the land and the appetizing aromas of freshly picked heirloom herbs.

The tour ends in the workshop studio where Erez will demonstrate the preparation of various dishes, depending on the mood, the season and whatever he discovered in the garden that day, starting with fish (red snapper tartar & avocado, fish steamed in banana leaves, crab stew with tamarind, basil and broccoli from the garden), followed by poultry (chicken breast in white miso & spinach), beef (fried sweetbread skewed on oak branches with star anise, served with black lentils tabbouleh) and lamb (lamb stuffed with freekeh & pistachios, lamb ribs) as well as vegetables (fennel sautéed in saffron infused clarified butter).

Participants will enjoy each dish as it is made, alongside paired wines from the ‘Golan Heights Winery’, poured generously.

The workshop will end on a sweet note under the pergola, where participants will enjoy dessert and hot drinks; a seasonal crumble, a marzipan kranz cake or home made Knafe.
